WE'RE ROLLING FOR CHARITY
Hold onto your conductor hats, This year, De Karel Foundation delivered a whopper of a cheque to KWF: over €150,000 raised through train charters, epic events, and merch with heart.
That’s right, we turned rail power into real impact!
SHOW ME THE MONEY
The cheque was proudly handed over to KWF Director Dorine Manson and Corporate Contacts Wendy Nagel by our very own Dennis Münninghoff and Huub van Soest, with a special cameo from Margreet de Heer; comic strip artist, author, and full-time Karel fan.
To top it off, we rocked the day with live performances by The Rockit and Metallikoor, two powerhouse acts from our sister company Rockpodium.

NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES
Out of nowhere, Margreet de Heer (Stripmaker des Vaderlands, Zilveren Griffel-winnaar) surprised us with a brilliant creation: Dennis in De Karel in a cheeky parody of Batman in the Batmobile, part of her superhero comic cover series.
We were instantly smitten and knew it had to go on a t-shirt. Margreet was totally on board and generously let us use the artwork to create merch, with all proceeds going to KWF.
We’re beyond grateful. In our eyes, Margreet is the real superhero!
